In honor of Yoko Ono's 92nd birthday, the Park Avenue Armory hosted the most beautiful exhibit. There were 92 trees spread around the massive space and visitors were invited to write a wish and tie it to a tree. The space was set up to allow visitors to reflect and share their hopes for the future.
It was amazingly peaceful to walk among the trees. I wrote 2 wishes and tied them to trees, then took in the other wishes. They ranged from children wishing for "a hamster and a million dollars" to adults sharing intimate wishes for themselves and their family. There were so many wishes related to the hostages in Gaza and wishes to end anti-semitism (we can all wish for that, right?). Thursday, February 20, 2025
