Rose Garden

A trip to Portland in the summer is not complete without a stop at the Rose Garden! I hadn't been to PDX in June in a while so the roses were truly in perfect bloom. It was a stunning day and we took Luna along and she loves exploring all the smells.
It is amazing how many varieties they have at the garden. They work on grafting new ones and restoring seeds from some of the original types of roses ever known!

...always stop to smell the roses, but be careful of the bees.

we just planted our first rose bush and fingers crossed it makes it. The one already at our house in Maryland had black spot beetles and few blossoms. This one is called sunset colors and we live now in Colorado so maybe the dryer air will help

I loved seeing this today! The Portland Rose Garden was a favorite destination when I lived in Vancouver WA!
