Bushwick Collective

We went out to dinner and a show in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn on Saturday night. We got there a bit early and walked around looking at the Bushwick Colleective murals. The collective started in 2012 as a place for local artists to come and share their art on the walls of the neighborhood. They change over every now and then and range in color, style, and design. I love places like this and it was so cool to get a sense of the neighbohood this way!
They really ranged from whimsical to more serious and added so much personality to the streets. As we walked back to our car after the show, it was also really neat to see them at night with the streets taking on a new life as the bars and clubs opened for the evening!

Bushwick isn't one of the really well known neighborhoods in Brooklyn, but it was a fun time now that we finally got out there!

Love how these murals brought such vibrant energy to Bushwick—whimsical by day, electric by night! It’s always a thrill discovering lesser-known neighborhoods that surprise you with their creativity and vibe. Sounds like an unforgettable adventure!"*
