Right now in Madison Square Park, Larry Bell’s glass cubes are on display and they are catching the light in every direction! The colorful cubes reflect the park, the skyline, and everyone passing through. The pieces were designed so that as the day's light shifts, so does everything around them. Bell is well known for turning glass into something alive; he intends his pieces to bend light, mirror movement, and somehow make you see the space differently every time you walk by.
The pieces are so pretty and looked lovely in the midday fall light, as leaves fell around them. I truly feel that public art in city parks is what makes cities so unique and special and this installation proves that once again!Tuesday, October 14, 2025

...I hope that a tree doesn't come crashing down on one.
I love art installations. The colours are fantastic!
How gorgeous!
My goodness - how intriguing. I love art installations too. And this is one I think you would keep coming back to at different times of day. Enjoy your week and thankyou again for the linkup.
