I was in Cambridge on Monday for a meeting and decided to take a stroll through Harvad Yard with my camera.
I just love how much character there is.
Pretty cool living near the first university this country ever had.
I even took the time to rub Harvard's lucky left foot.

The yard was buzzing with back to school activities, ah to have lived in these dorms, so much charm!
3 years ago (oy thought it was 2, time
slow down), I stood beneath this same street sign, fell in love with this city and Wheelock, and here I am now, pretty amazing. Life may be crazy, but it is so good.

My husband's freshman room was on the second floor above the closest entrance in your fifth pic. He looked right over the yard. One of our favorite things to do is stroll through the square and the yard...he enjoys his walk down memory lane, and I enjoy the buildings and all the history!

sooo funny. thanks! I've never been there but my bro and sis have. He has his PhD from there and my sis worked there for a years prior to becoming a teacher. me, nope. haven't been east of the town of San Antonio Texas. (i'm in Utah, recall?). But I found those pics fun to be on a tour, as it were.
The quail are all over the neighborhood. Our garden is next to the garage, running east and west. The Doggie has the backyard as her playground and she charges after any bird in the air or yard. So the quail have realized they need to stay in the front side yard and play in the garden.

Laughing at this as my husband has several Bostonians in the family. My favorite run in with the accent is when my aunt in law was telling me about her granddaughter who is an artist. I kept thinking she was calling her an otter. :)
Would love to visit here, especially as we study American History this year and the Revolutionary War.
