Make Way for Ducklings

One of my favorite parts of Boston is the Make Way for Ducklings statues at the Public Garden.
These little bronze ducklings delight children and adults alike.
All lined up, following their mommy duck. Just like the story depicts.
After my last trip down to say "hi" to the ducks, I walked towards the Esplanade and the Charles River.
It was so fun to see, there in the river basin, a family of ducks.
7 little ducklings and their duck parents, swimming along.
8 ducklings in all,  just like the famed Ducklings.
Make way for ducklings, indeed!

I have only been to Boston once. I was 7 months pregnant with my third, barely could walk and I took my middle son to see the ducks. It was his favorite book as a little guy and it was so much fun to see the statues! I bought a beautiful watercolor picture of that scene and it hangs in my baby's nursery. What a wonderful park. I have such good memories of my visit!!! By the way, always love your posts and photos.

Love that book, and these images are adorable. Love that the daddy, I assume, is with the little family. I can imagine small tots playing with the statues.

The photos of the brass ducklings do indeed delight this adult. And the real duckling family too.

I love those statues - how wonderful that you came across a live family as well. Sometimes life imitate art, sometimes it is the other way around - chicken or the egg in this case?

So cute - I know these little ducklings. I love that the real ones mimicked the bronze!
