This week was packed, even though it was a short week for teaching. Sukkot started on Wed evening, so we got out early on Wed. Before that though, we crammed in tons of learning. We formally began chapter one in math and our first grammar unit. Now they know basic place value and when to use periods and question marks! There is a great deal of irony in my ending that sentence with an exclamation point...
I love the current holiday, Sukkot, and it being early this year (early in the secular calendar) has guaranteed gorgeous weather! I've had some lovely meals with friends in various sukkot so far and am only mildly tired of going to shul!
Of course to top it all off, I am battling my first cold of the season. At least I had lots of downtime to recover. The time off has been great for lots of reading and relaxing too. I also took the plunge and updated my iphone and ipad to ios7. So far I am really digging it!
Highlight of the week: delicious meals in various sukkot. Nothing beats eating with friends under the stars!
Favorite teaching moment: This week it's something so simple, yet so sweet! I wrote down one child's homework assignments for them one day and they were so adorable and genuinely grateful - it made me smile to see her smile!
Random-osity: I bought my first can of pumpking puree this week - bring on fall!
I'm working on growing the blog's facebook page - won't you please join me over there as well? I post a sampling of the random things around me and would love to connect there (here) too!

I'm loving IOS 7 too! Sounds like you're having a great holiday!! Bring on fall!
I'm loving IOS7, and I usually don't like it when anything about technology changes...maybe I'm slowly adapting to the tech world. I love that you savored that teaching moment - seems like it was a sweet moment indeed!
Aye yi yi...I have to admit I'm a bit scared of updating my iphone. I've heard mixed reviews on it. Good to know that you are liking it tho.
This month is certainly flying on by. I can't believe I'm looking at mid Oct for openings for things. Incredible how quickly it goes.
Have a great week my friend.
Sigh....fall. I hope it lingers.
Fall, one of my favorite times of the year...hope it sticks around long enough for full enjoyment. Tamar, you amaze me with your enthusiasm for teaching...wish all of our young teachers had your zest. Continue to enjoy your holidays!!
this month is definitely going fast. I'm glad you are having a good sukkot so far! thanks for sharing my giveaway!
Sounds like a great week! Not the coming down with a cold part, but the rest of it. :)
I'm still getting a good chuckle out of your teaching moment on exclamations! haha
And where on earth did this month go to?
I think it makes more sense to link my WW Linky to your hop on Tuesdays than my regular fashion / style post on Mondays. yah?
Lots of wonderful fall images. Waiting for it to feel more like fall here.
Ohhh, awesome giveaway! Sorry about your cold. I hope you are feeling much better now.
How do you like the new iOS? I'm loving it.
