Sandcastle Competition 2019

{Paper Lions -- Sandcastles}

Every summer, I look forward to the Revere Sandcastle competition. Spectacular works of art on the beach just a hop skip and a jump north from the city.

This year, I went up earlier in the morning and enjoyed the calm to really see each piece. The sculptors were still putting finishing touches on some of the pieces which was super neat to see.

The main piece's theme was commemorating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and it was a super neat sculpture with Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins right there in sand.

It is amazing what these artists can do with some sand, water, and amazing talent!

Even before the pictures loaded, I knew I was going to love this post. I LOVE SAND SCULPTURES. One of these days, I hope to be able to visit some in real life like this, but in the meantime, thank you for posting pictures!

Another friend of mine posted pictures of this on Instagram and I was thinking you must have been there too!

Wow! These are amazing! What talented artists. It's a shame the sculptures are so ephemeral!

I love sand sculptures. There's a Russian artist who travels the world doing them - he work is extraordinary. It's such an art.
