Head of the Charles

Row-in boats a-cross the water
Bring 'em on in, bring 'em on home...

{Bring 'Em On In -- Van Morrison}

Another spectacular late October weekend for the annual Head of the Charles Regatta. This was the 55th rowing of the prestigious regatta.

Over 11,000 athletes come from all over the country and world to take on the famed Charles River and use locals love finding spots along the winding route to catch the action.

I always head over to the BU Bridge. Super views on the city and boats. Then a stroll along the river on the esplanade to take in more of the action as boat after boat is called to the start.

A fall tradition for us Bostonians!

What a great setting to see these boats come charging down the river, and you got a fab location to capture it. I did rowing for a couple of years. It's very technical, timing is crucial, and the power in those big boats is incredible. Have a great week. And thanks again for the link up.

I always thought it would be cool to do crew. Unfortunately, I could never really make it materialize. One can dream!
