TWA Hotel

In 2019, the historic TWA terminal at JFK was turned into a boutique hotel. The Eero Saarinen designed Head House terminal was restored back to a 1960s era terminal, now complete with 512 hotel rooms. There are little nods to TWA from the red carpet, an old airliner outside the building, and displays of old TWA posters and flight uniforms.
The space is truly genius. The ticket counters are now the hotel check-in desks and a cafe. There are lounges and restaurants and even pay phones. Up on the roof there is an infinity pool overlooking the runways. I'm actually itching to have a reason to stay there, the rooms are apparently amazing!

Such an amazing way to reinvent a historic space for the 21st century!

Oh this is really cool, Tamar! I had to check out the room prices and they actually aren’t all that bad for the location and the experience! Thanks for sharing this!

It looks amazing! I love the views. Definitely an amazing way to "reinvent" space.

Beautiful hotel! It reminds me a bit of The Jetsons cartoon--I expect to see a flying car zoom by! :)
