Phantom faces at the window...
Phantom shadows on the floor...
Empty chairs at empty tables where my friends will meet no more.

File this under "stumbled across whilst running."
Right at the start of the Comm Ave mall now sits an opulent ballroom.
Made out of concrete.
It's Boston's latest public art installation and I love it.
The artist, Liz Glynn, created 26 sofas, chairs, and ottomans all out of concrete.
She calls the material the material of the people and fashioned the works to look like pieces you'd find in a gilded apartment.
By making them all concrete and installing them in the heart of Boston she has brought the glitz to all.
Very, very cool indeed.

Oh WOW! You find the coolest stuff!!!!
I love public art installations. They're like a very pleasant "Oh, hey!" that adds a bit of spice when you come across them when you're not expecting to see them.
What a cool scene to stumble upon! That song always makes me cry!
