The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 45

The Good:
Noam turned 10 (what!?) last week so we had a fun family Zoom bday party for him. Complete with a Noam themed Kahoot.

The Random:
Purell with a side of seagull?

The Fun:
The nurse got a 6ft inflatable banana to help keep the middle schoolers farther apart. We shared a moment...

Coloring

I don't have to prove...that I am creative!

{Artists Only -- Talking Heads}

Nephew time!
So fun now that they are older.
We did a spot of coloring over the weekend.
They were so immersed in the colors and designs.
Lots more fun to come!

Little Things: Tryon Creek Hike

On Boxing Day, the boys, Avi, and I went on a brisk hike in Tryon Creek Park. It never ceases to amaze me how lush and green Oregon is, even in winter!
We went in search of a suspension bridge over one of the river beds. Noam couldn't quite manage to say "suspension" and it was so adorable to hear him attempt to pronounce it. It kept sounding more like "cemention" bridge.
We had a nice morning out. Noam, the little naturalist loved finding plants and rocks to point out to us. Ronan just sprinted ahead! Always great to enjoy the fresh air during winter time and explore more of the amazing Pacific Northwest!

Chanukah Celebrations

Oh Chanukah, oh Chanukah...
Come light the menorah...
Gather round the table, we'll give you a treat...
Sivivon to play with and latkas to eat...

{Oh Chanukah}

There is something so magical about the holidays with children. Their enthusiasm so pure. So exuberant.

Noam and Ronan were so excited to welcome in Chanukah. They decorated. Set the menorahs up. And have asked when it was time to light candles each night.

We've played dreidel, sung songs, and enjoyed new gifts.

8 nights of wonder and joy! So happy to be here to celebrate with them.

The Good. The Random. The Fun. v. 45

The Good:
Sooooo....Noam turned SIX on Friday. How in the world!? Here's to the most amazing-est year ever, Noam!!

The Random:
So....I got Snapchat and have 0 clue what I am doing...

The Fun:
Nothing is more fun than being allowed to write on the radiator! I had a stroke of genius and turned it into a math center this past week. It was a HIT!

Also! I entered a photo I took into my town's First Light contest. If you would be so kind, to vote (by liking it)! Thanks!

Scav Hunt Sunday: Shabbat and Stairs

I Cherish This:
Mr. Noam began kindergarten this week (unbelievable!)...this note arrived a few days back as a thank you for the gifts from Bermuda. I melt. My nephew is a reading and writing and missing tooth big kid now!!

Sweet:
Emily's family introduced this to me. It's the new healthy crack. Almond butter - that is sweet and warm and omg amazing.

Glass:
Love the light pouring in through the glass and the mix of brick and metal down in Southie.

Powerful:
Takes a powerful core to be a pro-hula hooper. Which I am not...

TGIF:
I appreciate shabbat so much more when school is in session! A break. A day to recharge. A finish line on a busy week!
