I've always loved Ansel Adams' work. His landscape photography and use of light and contrast are just breathtaking. I was so excited that his work is the latest work at the MFA and took time over break to go see the exhibit.
The exhibit has so many amazing Ansel works. I was struck by his picture of San Fransico Bay before the bridge was built! It was amazing to see how his work progressed over his lifetime.

I adore him, great choice. Did they give you a hard time about taking photos, some museums won't let you. Very nice work silhouetting people viewing his work.
Ahh, I read a couple of his books. He spent hours setting up a photo, sometimes days, trying to catch the right light. Then he spent hours in the darkroom manipulating the light that fell on the paper. Amazing.
Oh! I would love to see an exhibition of his work.
