Central Park's "Secret Garden"

All the way up around 103rd and 5th Avenue, is a true secret garden within Central Park! The Conservatory Garden is a planned, walled European style garden and a true oasis from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan. There are paths, amazing trees and flowers, and stunning fountains.
The Garden opened in 1937 and is named for the glass conservatory that was built there in 1899. The Conservatory Garden is composed of three areas, each with a distinct design: the French-style North Garden, the Italianate Center Garden, and the English-style South Garden. Right now, the north garden is undergoing a restoration but the south garden is open and full of florals as summer begins!
